Premium tropical hardwood from the heart of Borneo — legally sourced, expertly processed, and ready for global markets.
PT Etam Kayutama Lestari was formally established on 8 May 2025 as a premium wood processing company anchored in the rich forests of East Kalimantan. Our production facility sits in Sembakungan, Kecamatan Gunung Tabur, Berau — one of the finest tropical hardwood reserves in the Indonesian archipelago.
Our corporate headquarters in the Bidakara II Complex, Jakarta Selatan, keeps us at the heart of Indonesia's business ecosystem — with direct access to national distribution networks and international export channels. This dual presence is the backbone of our integrated business model.
Although a young company, Etam Kayu has already built a comprehensive product ecosystem spanning seven premium product clusters, answering the full spectrum of needs in construction, hospitality, furniture, décor, and export markets — all crafted from legally sourced, certified timber.
"The name Etam comes from the Kutai language of Borneo — meaning 'us' or 'belonging to all of us together.' This philosophy affirms that Borneo's forest wealth is a shared inheritance — to be protected, managed wisely, and enjoyed responsibly by all."
Our tagline was born from a deep conviction: timber is not merely a commodity — it is a natural inheritance that must be protected even as its value is maximized. Preserving Nature affirms that every log entering our mill has been legally harvested, properly documented, and kept within the sustainable quota set by Indonesia's forestry authority.
Building The Future reflects our belief that timber, when processed with precision — strong, beautiful, enduring — becomes the physical foundation of homes, buildings, and furnishings that will serve human life for decades to come.
These two sides of the tagline do not conflict. They reinforce each other: when nature is preserved consistently and carefully, it will continue yielding premium-grade timber — enabling us to build exceptional products for generation after generation. That is the meaning of genuine sustainability.
Our raw materials are the finest tropical hardwoods from Kalimantan — selected for quality, natural beauty, and centuries-proven durability.
A legend of the tropical timber world. With a density of 1,040–1,155 kg/m³, Ulin is among the heaviest and hardest woods in existence. Class I Strength and Class I Durability mean it requires no chemical treatment to endure 50–100 years — even submerged in seawater, exposed to termites, or under extreme climate conditions.
A complete premium timber solution — from structural beams to five-star hotel amenities, all from a single trusted partner. All sizes and specifications available in standard and fully custom configurations.
PT Etam Kayutama Lestari supplies raw materials and finished products of Ulin Wood (Eusideroxylon Zwageri) — the Iron Wood of Borneo, one of the hardest timbers in the world. It offers extraordinary resistance to seawater, extreme weather, insects, and fungi — making it ideal for heavy construction, jetties, marine structures, and premium decking.
We invite manufacturers, distributors, architects, hotel developers, and export buyers to discover the full depth of what Etam Kayu can offer. Every enquiry receives a free technical consultation and a tailored product proposal.
